Sebastian Bergmann

Sebastian Bergmann and Peter Hoffmann will found EDS European Debt Solutions GmbH in April 2021.

Before that, Bergmann is responsible for building up a VC/PE master fund in Luxembourg with all the digital networks as Chief Digital Officer at the independent asset manager Up2Invest. Together with investors and the fintech Crosslend, a securitisation structure will be implemented.

From 2019 to June 2020, Bergmann will head the Transformation Hub of Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB). Together with Peter Hoffmann, he is implementing new platform banking services at the bank. Bergmann also leads DKB’s participation project in an international platform and is involved in initialising the bank’s innovation process.

In 2017, Sebastian Bergmann moved to Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, or pbb. After completing the in-house project “Capveriant”, he takes over the management of the fintech www.capveriant.com, a wholly-owned pbb subsidiary. Together with Peter Hoffmann, he establishes the Capveriant platform as a credit marketplace for public sector finance in Europe.

From 2005 onwards, Bergmann was responsible for the “Public Sector” division as well as International Corporate Banking as a department director at the German Savings Banks and Giro Association. He implemented numerous product and sales innovations in this segment, founded consulting companies for the public sector and designed and implemented end-customer tools. During this time, he completed the management career of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe with a diploma in savings bank management and in 2010 completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Banking & Finance at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.

Sebastian Bergmann began his professional career in the 1990s at Landesbank Berlin, where he built up banking expertise in the financing of companies and large properties as well as in business start-ups.

Bergmann is a member of the advisory board at PropTec Mineko and a member of the digitalisation advisory board of the Federal Association of Free Real Estate and Housing Companies.
