Burkhard Egbers has more than 20 years of experience in the acquisition, structuring, management of due diligence processes and successful implementation of investments in international infrastructure projects.

As a founding partner of Egbers Investment Partner (EIP), he advises companies, funds, professional investors and financial service providers on the development of tailor-made investment strategies for the infrastructure business. He holds several mandates as strategy advisor and for business segment development. As an advisor and expert for infrastructure investments, Mr Egbers has been appointed to various investment committees. In his freelance work, Burkhard Egbers holds various leading positions as Partner and Head of Business Development, Member of the Board and Advisor to the Executive Board. His extensive expertise and interdisciplinary background have led to consulting mandates in South America, Europe and Asia.

He also speaks at selected conferences and specialised forums on infrastructure investment as an alternative investment and investment opportunity.

Previously, Burkhard Egbers held various leading positions. As Head of Infrastructure Investments, with a global mandate, at DekaBank, Co-Managing Director of a consulting boutique as well as leading functions at DVB Bank SE.

Throughout his career, he has focused on the (further) development of investment structures for alternative investments for institutional investors and the financial industry.

He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, studied in Zaragoza (Spain) and worked in London, Puebla (Mexico) and Quito (Ecuador).

He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
